Scope of work was to relocate an existing MRI from Southwest General Hospital’s Lifeworks outpatient facility to the main hospital, installing it within a new MRI suite.
An entire structural bay was removed and rebuilt due to the weight of the machine and shielding requirements.
Creating a new MRI suite within the hospital created staff efficiency and patient care improvements by placing a new imaging suite closer to the clinical need.
